The George Eliava Institute of Bacteriophage, Microbiology and Virology (further on the Eliava IBMV or the Eliava Institute) is a research institution currently operating under authority of the Georgian Academy of Sciences ( GAS).

The Eliava Institute is a world known institution working in the field of Applied Microbiology , Virology and Infectious Immunology. The main field of the Eliava Institute since its establishement in the early 20’s of XX century remains Phage Research and Phage Therapy. The institute has accumulated a vast experience during more than 80 years of its history.

The Eliava Institute is located downtown Tbilisi in Georgia. The institute’s location makes it easily reachable from all parts of the city.
